From the Senior Pastor

Welcome to Radiant Life Church Online

Radiant Life has a rich heritage of over 58 years of ministry in Northwest Arkansas;  yet we are contemporary and desire to communicate God’s Word in a real and relevant way. We refuse to worship the past or to settle for the present, but are hungry for the future. Radiant Life is a place for new beginnings. We believe that no matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been, God's grace is available.

Radiant is made up of people from many nations of the world: Haiti, Peru, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Saint Christopher Island, Mexico, Romania, Dominica, Trinidad, St. Vincent, The Bahamas & The Marshall Islands. No matter where you are from, in Christ Jesus we can have assurance of where we are going.

We are a sending church. We are focused on raising up and equipping people to fulfill their God-ordained purpose. We are not about how many we can "seat in church" on Sunday, but how many we can equip and send out to minister. The majority of the ministry of Radiant Life Church takes place the other six days of the week, in many locations throughout our community.

We are not a perfect church. Actually someone once said, "No perfect people allowed." That is what we are--imperfect people striving to become more Christ-like; not just on Sundays, but every day of our lives.

We hope that you will enjoy your online experience and are able to get a sense of what Radiant is all about. If you are looking for a church home we invite you to come and visit us at 915 West Central. Radiant has a place for you! I am confident that when you step in the doors you will experience the excitement of God's people and discover for yourself why people of all ages and religious backgrounds call Radiant Life Church...home.

Below you will find the answers to some Frequently Asked Questions:

1.   What are your weekend services like?

At Radiant Life Church you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music. We provide a worship folder that gives information on events and activities.

There is a large-screen PowerPoint presentation to help you make the most of the practical and relevant message, announcements and special events. Children are well cared for in a loving, quality preschool and fun-filled biblically-based Elementary Children's Church.

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. You’ll find people here dressed just like you!  You will notice everything from casual clothes to business suits at our morning services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because Radiant Life is not about what you look like or what you wear.

We know that many people want to check out the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you. Every service is different so come and visit us several times in a row so you can give yourself time to meet great people and connect with others who want to know more about God.

At Radiant Life, ministry is not just a "Sunday thing" but something that takes place seven days a week throughout the Northwest Arkansas area.

 2.   Where do I go when I arrive?

We are conveniently located west of the intersection at Central Ave and Walton Blvd in Bentonville.  As you drive west from the intersection you will see a light gray building with a steeple. This is our North building which houses our children's church (1st -6th grades), church offices and fellowship hall. Behind (south) of this building is our South Building which houses our Main Worship Center, preschool, nursery, Sunday school, & "Ignite" Youth Minisry.  The South Building has two entrances, with main entrance being double glass doors on SW "J" Street and the second entrance to the lower level student ministries.

If you have children, you will want to park in the first (East) parking lot. Preschoolers enter through the double steel doors of the South building. Elementary children enter the North building at the single white door between the North and South buildings.

If you are handicapped or a senior citizen you may choose the second parking lot at corner of West Central and SW "J" street.

We also have curbside designated handicapped parking along SW "J" St. right in front of our new worship center.

Our parking attendants will be happy to direct you to a parking spot.

When you enter the main entrance on the right is our worship center and to the left is our welcome center. Help yourself to our free coffee bar, iced tea, and a selection of "sweets". Relax in front of our cherrywood fireplace and visit with new friends and fellow believers. This welcome is also open after service to visit with members of our pastoral staff.

3.   Worship & Music

We believe in God-honoring worship that lifts the heart of man to the throne of God. Our music style is contemporary and we seek to be led by the Spirit in all that we do.  Typically worship last about 5-6 songs, but may vary from time to time as the Spirit leads.  God has blessed us with musicians from around the world (Peru, Philippians, Haiti).  We are always open to adding additional musicians and worship team members, as the Spirit leads.

4.   What happens during services?

Prayer- During worship time you will have an opportunity to receive prayer at the altar with one of our trained prayer workers, if you so choose. You will find prayer a major emphasis at RLC.

Worship- Contemporary & Spirit-filled.

Tithes & Offerings-An offering will be received after a short teaching time about the principles of giving.  As guests this offering is NOT for you, it is for our members.

Preaching- Most Sunday’s Pastor Pearcy ministers the Word but on occasion there are guest speakers who fill the pulpit.

Our pastor is passionate about the Word of God and this excitement spills from the pulpit onto the people. If you have not already done so, check out our podcast of recent morning messages.

Pastor Pearcy has served in ministry since 1977, having previously served churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri and Tennessee.  He has earned degrees from Southwestern University in Waxahachie, TX; Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Weatherford, OK and The Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, MO.  He currently is Chairman of the Bible and Theology department chair for a local Christian College.

Ministry response time- As the Holy Spirit speaks to you, you will have the opportunity to respond the Word of the Lord.

Communion is served on fourth Sunday is open to everyone who has received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and is living a consistent Christian life, regardless of denominational affiliation.

Morning service concludes at around 12 noon. We never want to rush what the Holy Spirit is doing in people's lives but we also understand schedules.

5.   Do you have Sunday Night Ministry?

Yes, Sunday nights we have a variety of activities: 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays we have services/activities that begin at 6 pm and conclude around 7:30 pm. On 2nd and 4th Sunday night we have life groups. Please check out the list of excellent life groups that meet not only on Sunday nights but also throughout the week.

6.    Do you have a midweek service?

Yes, our midweek service begins at 7 pm each Wednesday. The adult service meets in the main worship center and focuses on Ministry training and Bible study normally lead by Pastor Pearcy.  There are classes for children and our “Ignite” Youth Service.  Wednesday night services conclude around 8:15 pm.

7.   What about my children?

Your children are a top priority to all of us at Radiant Life Church. You will find well trained and approved teachers who LOVE to minister to children on a level they can receive.

For Parents' Assurance:

·         The exterior building doors are secured during services.

·         You can monitor your little ones during worship service on our close circuit monitor to ensure your preschool children are receiving the very best care.

·         Our teachers are CPR trained and have gone through a screening process.

·         We request that you return to your child’s ministry area within 15 minutes of service dismissal.

Your kids will LOVE our preschool program and our dynamic children's ministry and the many activities which are designed especially with them in mind.

8.    How can I meet others and get connected?

There are many ways to get involved. You can begin by stopping by our information table near the main entrance of the South Building. You will find brochures on many of the ministries and missions of Radiant Life Church. One way to get connected is by attending our “Coffee with the Pastor”, and/or our “Membership Class” which periodically meets Sundays at 9:30am in the pastor’s office.

Life groups are another great way to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.

Midweek services are another way to have a small group environment to meet people at Radiant Life.  Feel free to attend any of these venues.

9.     How can I be discipled and grow?

Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. From the initial decision to accept Jesus as your Lord to your involvement in life-changing ministry, we will lead you step-by-step from healing to growth and into leadership. Begin the process by connecting with one of our staff members, to connect with a group today.

10.                        Why do you have small groups?

Small groups are an important part of Radiant Life Church; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our small groups. Groups allow you to meet other people and families and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As the church grows, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to one that’s just right for you. Learn more about why we’re big on small groups, or find a group by visiting our “Life Groups” page.
